Female actor 20–27 wanted for student short film in Stockholm

Hello!

It’s time for us students at Stockholm Film School to produce our short film “Furešti”.

We are currently looking for actors for the film’s main roles.

What kind of project is it?

Furešti is a dramatic short film about three Yugoslav refugees who unexpectedly find each other in a foreign country, at the moment they need it most, and slowly begin to rebuild a sense of home together.

The story is intimate and character-driven, focusing on exile, grief, identity, language, and belonging. It is a film about the small human moments that help people survive displacement.

We are looking in particular for actors with a Balkan background or familiarity with Croatian / Serbian / Bosnian language and culture, but this is not an absolute requirement if the actor is right for the role.

About Lara

Lara is 23 years old and new to this country. She is searching for familiarity, safety, and understanding. She is emotionally direct and carries both vulnerability and strength. This role requires sensitivity and honesty rather than big performance.
